I am looking for a small companion dog for me and me 4 lb chihuahua rita. Rita would prefer a male dog not to much bigger than her. Rita has glaucoma and is nearly completely blind. I lost my other chi on newyears. Freaked out by fireworks, when i came home he bolted out the door and ran and ran and was hit by a car. We (rita and I) are not over the pain of losing him yet but now that rita is going blind we both need a new companion. I would prefer a dog under one year but for a gentle loving soul will consider a slightly older dog. I am at work all day and can sometimes take my dog but usually not. There is another big dog that goes to work that hates other dogs. I am 56 years old and linve in a small house with a quite large backyard (from a small dogs perspective) all fenced in. Rita is unable to go for walks as she has a bum leg and is happy to just hang out in the yard with me gardening or in the house. I need a dog i can walk twice a day as i need the exercise and the companionship of a walking friend. I do work but i am not well off, Rita is needing some vet bills right now so i cannot afford to buy an expensive pure bred from a breeder. I would like a chihuahua or a small mixed breed dog not over 6-7 lbs. I look forward to hearing from you and hope you have a small friend in need of a loving home.
